La Nuit des Idées est une nuit de débats internationale, interdisciplinaire et intergénérationnelle, organisée dans une centaine de villes dans plus de 70 pays. La Nuit des Idées aura lieu cette année le 31 janvier 2019, sous le thème « Face au présent ». Elle réunira des intervenants de tous horizons – intellectuels, chercheurs, artistes – invités à débattre dans les lieux partenaires de la manifestation, sur les cinq continents : de Dakar à Los Angeles en passant par Bruxelles, Buenos Aires et Katmandou, Marseille et Paris…
Pour l’édition de Stockholm, le thème « Face au présent » sera décliné sur plusieurs points pour mener un débat d’idée sous la forme de regards croisés franco-suédois. A travers trois discussions, nous étudierons tout d’abord les questions de genres (Une ville pour tous et toutes ?), et d’innovations environnementales (Smart cities, quelles solutions pilotes en matière d’enjeux mondiaux ?), puis nous ferons un tour du côté de la science-fiction pour voir comment elle a pu prévoir ou imaginer la ville d’aujourd’hui.
La soirée continuera ensuite avec la remise du prix de l’Association franco-suédoise de la recherche à 4 jeunes chercheurs français et suédois pour leurs travaux sur la ville du futur.
La conférence aura lieu en anglais et sera modéré par Anders Sahlman, Project and Business Development Manager, Stockholm.

The Night of Ideas is a night of international, interdisciplinary and intergenerational debates, organized in about 100 cities in more than 70 countries. The Night of Ideas will take place this year on 31 January 2019, under the theme « Facing the present ». It will bring together speakers from all walks of life – intellectuals, researchers, artists – invited to debate in the event’s partner venues on five continents: from Dakar to Los Angeles via Brussels, Buenos Aires and Kathmandu, Marseille and Paris…
For the Stockholm edition, the theme « Facing the present » will be declined on several points to lead a debate of ideas in the form of Franco-Swedish cross-fertilization. Through three discussions, we will first study gender issues (A city for all?), and environmental innovations (Smart cities, what pilot solutions to global challenges?), then we will take a look at science fiction to see how it could have predicted or imagined today’s city.
The evening will then continue with the presentation of the prize of the Association franco-suédoise de la recherche to 4 young French and Swedish researchers for their work on the city of the future.
The conference will be held in English and moderated by Anders Sahlman, Project and Business Development Manager, Stockholm.

19:00 – Future Handicap : Which bodies inhabit outer space ? with Josefine Wälivaara, Researcher at Umeå University
